Trying 3mm Plywood

I have been engraving Purchased Bamboo cutting boards. Everything else has been small scraps of wood I saved through the years. Everything much too thick for trying LASER through-material cutting.

I have done a bit of LASER cutting with heavy paper and have had excellent results.

I ordered some Baltic 3mm plywood 12″ x 12″ for experimenting with LASER cuts as well as light engraving. No project designs in mind at the moment. I need to spend some time experimenting with speed and power settings. The material is a bit expensive at $4.00 per square foot. Sounds cheaper if I say 2-3/4 cents per square inch. Ha!

I will post the results.
